2025 Porsche Cayenne is set to be an all-electric SUV launched in 2026
The 2025 Porsche Cayenne is set to be an all-electric SUV launched in 2026. The Cayenne EV will be based on the newly developed PPE platform co-developed with Audi. The PPE platform supports up to 800V and allows 270 kW fast charging. The electric SUV will have a rear-mounted electric motor as standard, and a second motor for the front axle with AWD capability will be available. The Cayenne EV will share the PPE platform with the Porsche Macan electric, and following these models, the company will switch to the SSP Sports platform for its electric SUVs.

Porsche has confirmed that it will target a CO2-neutral balance for 2030, which involves many initiatives and investments. The brand aims to have half of all new Porsche vehicles sold with an electric motor by 2025, and more than 80% of new cars will be electric by 2030. The Cayenne EV will be released after the Macan EV but before a more significant, three-row electric SUV.
The current third-generation Porsche Cayenne luxury SUV will receive a facelift in 2024, meaning it will stick around for a few more years. The updated Cayenne Coupe is slated to arrive in the spring, likely as a 2024 model.
